As expected, the scoreboard reflected the relative strength of the Richmond and Essendon sides that did battle at Morwell this afternoon. An Essendon side, minus arguably 18 senior players, went down to a full strength Richmond by 72 points. The match was never about the result but the Essendon coaching panel would still have been bitterly disappointed the team was unable to get closer to the Tigers.
