Hoodoo Gurus Now On DVD
Hoodoo Gurus fans can find them now on DVD. The entire career of the band has been captured on a 2DVD set including all of their videos, live performances and the retrospective documentary titled 'Be My Guru".
"It's a fairly reasonable representation of a portion of my life. It goes back away" Brad Shepherd tells Undercover News.
For Gurus fans, it is the ultimate package but for Brad, it's a difficult thing to watch. "Things have changed. 20 years on the road is like dog years. I am actually like 100 years old compared to other human beings" he laughs. "It doesn't hold much interest to me to sit down and watch my past like that. I dare say it would be like watching home movies were I to do it".
Hoodoo Gurus reformed in 2003 for an album and tour but it was a one off. "We had our run. We did our album Mach Schau last year which we were proud of" he says. "We did a tour off the back of that for 4 months which is a long tour in Australia. We have no plans at all at the moment. We have gone back into our cave".
Not that means they have broken up again. "I think we have learnt the lesson of never saying never" he says. "There are no plans at all. I don't know how else to say it. We are not making a record. We are playing the odd show. We are playing at some sort of Grand Prix affair in Adelaide in March. There is going to be an official release of the DVD and I think we have agreed to perform at that. There is talk of offers coming in for tsunami benefits. We may do the odd performance but we are not really trying to pursue a career".
