Peter drew an interesting admission from the Prime Minister when he asked him, in Question Time on 10 March, a question regarding the government's recently released Skills at work report on new apprenticeships.
Mr Garrett: Prime Minister, isn’t it a fact that, according to the Skills at work report, nearly half of all people who completed a new apprenticeship said their level of skill remained the same and that six per cent of people said they had ‘less skills’ than when they started?
Mr Howard: ... I think what that report shows is that there can be improvements ...
