Peter Garrett's NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week has kicked off for the year and on Tuesday Peter Garrett attended a local celebration at La Perouse, while on Wednesday he visited Prince of Wales Hospital, which hosted its own celebration.

NAIDOC Week gives all Australians a chance to celebrate and promote greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Indigenous culture.

This year’s theme is ‘Our Future begins with Solidarity’, and in his new role as Parliamentary Secretary for Reconciliation and the Arts it was Pete's great privilege to join our local Indigenous community in recognising and celebrating Indigenous culture.
