Woman breastfeeds tiger cubs

Hla Htay has three hungry infants to feed these days -- a seven-month old baby boy and two Bengal tiger cubs.
Three times a day, the Myanmar housewife goes to the Yangon Zoo where she breastfeeds the hungry black-striped, orange-brown cubs rejected by their natural mother.
"The cubs are just like my babies," Hla Htay told Fuji TV as one of the baby big cats suckled her breast.
"It's not scary at all," she said of the 45-minute feeds. "I needed to do something for the cubs because I felt really sorry for them".
Three cubs were born at the zoo in mid-March, but their mother killed one and refused to nurse the others. Veterinarians rescued the other two but had little success bottle feeding them.
"They had some difficulties sucking the nipple on the bottle. When we tried to get the cubs to suck a lady's breast, it was alright," said a veterinarian.
The zoo says the breastfeeding will stop by the end of April or when the cubs start teething -- whichever comes first.

Woman arrested in Wendy's chilli finger case

A woman who said she found a severed finger in a bowl of Wendy's chilli has been arrested, capping an investigation into a horrifying claim that made headlines and hurt sales at the No. 3 U.S. burger chain.
Anna Ayala, 39, was arrested on Thursday night at her home in Las Vegas and was being held at the Clark County Detention Centre there, police said.
Ayala said she bit down on the finger after spooning up a mouthful of chilli at a Wendy's restaurant in San Jose, California, on March 22. The charge drew intense publicity and tarnished the image of the Dublin, Ohio-based burger chain.
An analysis of the finger tissue by both local health agencies and outside experts disproved some statements made by Ayala about the chilli incident, police said in a statement.
She was charged with attempted grand theft over the finger but the origin of the finger was still unknown, said San Jose police department spokesman Nick Muyo

BenedictXVI.com

Caretaker

An American who registered the Internet name BenedictXVI.com before the new Pope was chosen said on Wednesday he had not worked out what to do with it but was pretty sure it would be a sin to sell it to a pornographer.
Florida resident Rogers Cadenhead, who describes himself as the author of several technology books, said that he registered six domain names earlier this month based on names he thought the new pope might pick.
"I think I was the second-most excited person on the planet when they announced the name," he said, adding that the euphoria quickly faded as his Web server started to buckle under the weight of an estimated 1,000 hits a minute.

Italian paper rates Pell for Pope

He could make Sir James a real saint!

While bookies are rating Australia's Cardinal George Pell as a long shot for Catholicism's top job, an Italian newspaper has picked him as one of its 18 frontrunners to replace Pope John Paul II.

Il Giornale, a national newspaper owned by the brother of Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, praised Dr Pell's communications skills and wide travel in a feature on its 18 papal favourites, The Australian newspaper said today.

"The Archbishop of Sydney, George Pell, is the portrait of an outsider and punters looking for a surprise win mustn't disregard this athletic ex-football player, a born fighter on whom John Paul II depended a great deal and who is well regarded by bishops the world over," the newspaper said.

Il Giornale described Dr Pell as a great traveller with great communications skills who had emerged "immaculate" from allegations in 2002 that he had sexually abused a Victorian child 40 years ago.

Now I might be wrong, but I'm sure that when Geoge Pell was working in Melboune, he was a Bombers supporter. That's if I'm thinking of the right person.
But how good would that be. The Pope at a game waving his scarf in the air singing "See The Bombers Fly Up"

Cigarette butt on auction for more than $7k

A cigarette smoked in the dying seconds before New Zealand smokefree laws came into effect last year is set to fetch more than NZ$7,500 (2,863 pounds) in an Internet auction.

The butt, witnessed as smoked at 11:59 p.m. on December 9 by the owners of an Auckland bar, has exceeded its NZ$1 reserve price by NZ$7,574 on New Zealand-based Internet web auction site TradeMe (www.trademe.co.nz).

It costs about NZ$10 to buy a packet of cigarettes in New Zealand.

The successful bidder when the auction closes on Thursday will also get a certificate of authenticity and a mounted display case. The partially smoked cigarette was described on the Web site as a "priceless Kiwiana collector's item".

New Zealand extended its smokefree laws on December 10, 2004, to ban smoking in most indoor venues, sparking complaints from smokers and bar and cafe owners.

Observation.

You would agree that Suicide Bombers are among the most dangerous criminals in the world.
So my question is - Why are none of them serving time in jail?
